If one drives up the long gravel road from Puerto Rio Tranquilo heading towards the Bayo lake, one comes after about 44 km drive to a big house in the forest, which was built with loads of effort and grand love for detail by the Alacalufes Katrin and Thomas. Both of them happily live here far from their old homeland Germany in a place they like, and they are taking care of the occassionally appearing hungry traveller as well as of our needs. They can bed upto 12 persons in comfortable rooms which contain one or more beds. One of their bigger rooms also has a private bathroom attached. Thomas might explore the area together with you maybe, whilst Katrin will prepare the food for you- returning from the trip. There are also some free spots for tents in their property, and a Quincho. A big water turbine takes care of the energy needs of the hostal, and they are connected via radio with the outside World.
