- Sleeping bag (comfort temps -10°C, if possible synthetics, when down please bring Goretex bivy bag);
- head torch or /and handtorch (LED-Lamps need less energy, if you tell us ahead, we can buy 1,5V Duracell's here for you at your expenses);
- sturdy Trekking /Mountain boots (e.g. Meindl, must be possible to attach snowshoes and simple crampons);
- trekking socks (bring 4 to 5 pairs);
- long thermal underwear;
- fleece trousers and jackets (windproof is best);
- warm sweater (Fleece);
- warm hat which covers ears, windproof and if possible breathable fabrics - e.g. Berghaus;
- neckwarmer(called balaclava), best if windproof;
- finger gloves, windproof, fleece preferred;
- mittens - for when it should get really cold;
- good sunglasses, best if a mountaineering model, with string;
- windproof overtrousers (bibs if you have), Supratex, TriplePoint or Goretex;
- windproof waterrepellent jacket (with hood!), Supratex, TriplePoint or Goretex;
- gaiters;
- river sandals (Teva's), also good for take a shower;
- your own little medic box/ first aid kit, see FAQ, category medicine;
- travel diary and books, if you want;
- valid passport (visa ok!);
- vaccination/X-ray, (mountain) club cards, if you have them;
- insurance police(s) for the trip;
- money - smaller notes are better (here, you can exchange best EUR or USD, not so easy is GBP, try to exchange inside Santiago airport arrival area, before you go out of the customs area- be careful to split your cash/ credit card(s), documents and carry in different places;
- Visa and Mastercard, if you have (usage only possible in Cochrane and Coyhaique on this trip, but good for emergencies);
- spare glasses or googles, if you need, personal hygiene kit;
- backpack to put it all in. make sure you have a high quality modell and you can carry it well (men about 75 Liters, women about 55-65 Liters);
- daybag 30 liters
